Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Our Year 5 and 6 students have the opportunity to take part in the annual NSW Premier’s Debating Challenge. This competition allows students to develop their reasoning, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. By participating, they can engage in friendly competition, learn how to build persuasive arguments, and enhance their ability to express their thoughts clearly.
Student Leadership
Student leadership helps young people to find their voice, get involved in making decisions, and learn about their rights and responsibilities as active members of their school. It gives students the chance to make a difference in their learning and school while preparing them to engage meaningfully in their community.
Student leadership opportunities available to our students include:
- Student Voice (Student Representative Council)
- School Captains, House Captains and Prefects
- Library Monitors
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
School sport, athletics and inter-school competitions
We offer a variety of sports to suit the interests and abilities of all students, inline with the department’s sport and PDHPE curriculum. In addition to our weekly scheduled sports, we also organise several events throughout the year, including:
