Leumeah Public School offers a wide variety of extra-curricular experiences to enhance the schooling experience of all students.
Choir
LPS has a Junior Choir for students in K-2 and the Senior Choir for students in 3-6. Rehearsals are held during lunchtime. Both the choirs perform at various school events throughout the year including whole school assemblies, Education Week and Presentation Day.
Debating Team
LPS students from Stage 3 are given the opportunity to join the debating team and receive coaching to improve their confidence to speak in front of an audience and develop arguments and rebuttals. The LPS Debate team represents the school in the Premier’s Debating Challenge each year.
Student Representative Council
Students from Year 2 to Year 6 can be elected to represent their class at SRC. They receive an orientation in student leadership and how to be the voice of their peers.
